Having sound problems with some KAIT programming? Here's your solution

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Some of our viewers may be having difficulties receiving the sound from some of our programming. The issue is likely a setting in your TV set or converter box that needs to be turned off in order to hear the right sound. The feature can be called “SAP” (Second Audio Program), “MTS” (Multichannel Television Sound), or “VDS” (Video Description Service). Our VDS audio is indicated by a “Spanish” sound track.

To get the right sound back, please look for a button on your remote control that says “SAP”, “MTS”, or “AUDIO”. Pressing this button once should show that you're currently listening to “Spanish” or “Track 2 of 2”. Pressing the button again should allow you to hear our full sound on “English” or “Track 1 of 2”.

If you are still having difficulty setting your television up correctly, please call our Technology Department at 870-336-1841.
