RANDOLPH COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A crowd gathered Saturday at the Biggers City Hall to celebrate a special woman's birthday.
Bernadine Hensley turned 100 Saturday.
She was born and raised in Arkansas.
Hensley is well known in the community for being the cook at the school.
She served lunch at the school for 29 years and many of the party guests were her students.
She danced from the Post Office to the City Hall to celebrate her 100th year on earth before the party that morning.
A huge crowd of people joined her at her party.
Hensley said she was touched by those who came.
"Makes me filled with joy and happiness and I want to cry," Hensley said. "But I'm not going to."
Hensley said she has even more cards at home, wishing her a Happy Birthday.
She said her favorite thing to do is laugh, and that is what makes life fun and worth living.
Everyone at the party raved about Hensley and what an amazing person she is.
