JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - While Jonesboro police continue to search for a man suspected of trying to videotape a woman in a public restroom, another man has been charged with surreptitiously recording friends and family members using the bathroom.

On Thursday, Feb. 5, two of the victims reported they found a phone belonging to 38-year-old Cuauhtemoc Nunez of Jonesboro containing “several pictures and videos from a hidden camera.”

According to court records, the photos were taken using a hidden video camera placed in the victims' bathrooms.

“The videos showed both victims, as well as friends and family members, using the bathroom and concealed parts of the body that would otherwise be concealed by clothing,” the affidavit stated.

Detectives stated it was “obvious” from the placement of the camera that the incidents were not consensual.

The videos and photos were then reportedly uploaded to a pornographic website.

On Friday officers arrested Nunez at his place of work. On Monday, Feb. 9, he appeared before District Court Judge Keith Blackman who found probable cause to charge Nunez with video voyeurism.

Nunez is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond at the Craighead County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in circuit court on March 31.
