JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Law enforcement officials across Arkansas are learning the most up-to-date information in order to better protect children.
A statewide conference on internet crimes against children was held at the Jonesboro Police Department Tuesday afternoon.
Officers from all across the state gathered to learn about digital evidence retention, fiber tips and portals, and online services for investigators.
Jonesboro Police Chief Rick Elliot said these are the people who fight to protect the ones who can't protect themselves.
"These officers that work this program, they're getting predators off the streets and it's protecting the lives of young individuals that are out there," Elliot said.
The conference was held on two days.
