Tip leads sheriff deputy to dumping site filled with skinned animal carcasses

BONO, AR (KAIT) -

Down county road 328 in Bono lies a disturbing scene.

It's nearly impossible to see if you're just passing over the concrete bridge but below, among the old christmas tree, furniture, rusted car parts and trash are carcasses.

Some are skinned, others appear to have been there so long, only bones remain.

Everything from cats to geese illegally dumped off the side of the bridge.

A concerned citizen contacted the Craighead County Sheriff's Department about the site, telling a deputy the dumping had been going on for a long time.

Tire tracks back up to the side of the bridge, where it appears a vehicle dumped the trash and animals.

In the deputy's report, he stated that he couldn't identify all the animals, due in part to their condition.

The sheriff's department tells Region 8 News that they are currently investigating the case. No suspects have been named yet.
