JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Jonesboro church spread some love, in this case 300 balloons, to nursing home residents for Valentine's Day.
Members of Greater Dimensions World Outreach Ministries hand delivered the pink balloons and roses to all of the residents and nurses at St. Elizabeth's Place.
The look on their faces said it all, everything from surprise to gratitude to sheer joy.
Pastor C.A. Turner said that was their goal. The kid and adult volunteers just wanted to make sure everyone felt loved on Valentine's Day.
"It's one thing to say you love someone, but it's another to demonstrate that love," Turner said. "I believe through the demonstration of God's love that many were happy because of what we did today."
"It's darling with the little kids doing that," said Sarah Bowdon, a resident at St. Elizabeth's Place. "It's teaching them that we may be old people but that's fun doing it. We enjoy it."
