JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The AMMC Foundation hosted its 14th-annual benefit beauty pageant Saturday.
More than 100 contestants, ages zero to 12th grade, competed for the titles of most spirited, most photogenic and more.
The proceeds from the entrance and enrollment fees will help expand programs and services, and renovate facilities at AMMC.
AMMC Foundation Director Terry Austin said all of the girls can walk away with pride, however a 12 grade contestant walked away with even more.
"We give away a $500 scholarship to our Miss AMMC 12th grade student tonight," Austin said. "Any of these girls is deserving. How do you pick the one who gets it? It's just impossible to me."
But the judges decided and crowned Allison Taylor Vaughn as Miss AMMC 2015. The $500 scholarship will help with her college costs.
Austin said the foundation hopes to make at least $7,000 from the annual benefit beauty pageant.
