JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Some patrons of a local night club reported to police that their vehicles had been shot after a fight escalated with gunfire, according to a Jonesboro police report.

According to police, as people were leaving the Diamond Grill, 305 N. Airport Rd., a 26-year-old-woman noticed that her back glass had been shot out and bullet marks were on her vehicle early Sunday morning.

Witnesses told police that a man got into a fight inside the club before several shots were fired outside the club. One witness told Detective R.J. Smith that “he (suspect) didn't take things lightly and gunfire might happen” after he was escorted to the parking lot.

Smith noticed several gun casings from a .40 caliber handgun and also found a round from a 9mm handgun.

A second victim reported to police that his vehicle was shot 3 times. He told police that he saw a group of men exit the club fighting when they pulled out guns.

No arrests have been made in the case.
