JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The site states the average price of gas in the Natural State has risen 7.3 cents in the past week, averaging $2.11 as of Sunday. The national average increased 7.6 cents per gallon to $2.25.
However, GasBuddy states the recent average is 103.1 cents per gallon lower than at this time 1 year ago. While the national average stands 110.2 cents per gallon lower than 1 year ago.
"Prices at the pump are starting to heat back up, mostly driven by a rebound in crude oil prices," said Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst with GasBuddy.
GasBuddy does a daily survey of 1,826 gas outlets in Arkansas.
