CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - The Craighead County Detention Center recently put an innovative program into use.
The new program is called the 'Guardian Program.'
A bracelet is placed on every inmate in the detention center and with a simple scan, jail administrators and guards have a lot of information available to them instantaneously.
"For cell checks, feeding them meals, passing out medication, going to court, anything they might do day to day," said Brett Duncan, jail administrator. "Operations of the jail now will be scanned into that database where we have it on our computer instead of having to go through papers and look through paperwork."
The 'Guardian Program' was funded through the Association of Arkansas Counties.
