JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Slick roads couldn't keep students in Jonesboro away from their organization.
They braved the cold weather to continue a special Out of the Dark meeting.
The meeting was held at Mid-South Health Systems.
Region 8 residents went to listen to the students' vision of what is to come for the organization.
President of the Youth Leadership Board Salvador Rivas said their goal for a drug-free community is what drives them.
"Come rain, sleet or snow we are still going to meet up and we're still going to discuss this because this matters to us a lot," Rivas said. "We are very determined for our future goals and we're going to do whatever it takes to see those happen."
Out of the Dark has 17 school chapters.
