Huckabee Clemency

The high profile clemency case surrounding convicted murderer Don Jeffers has come to an end.

Governor Huckabee has now denied clemency to Jeffers, nearly one year after granting it to him.

In January 2004, the Governor granted Jeffers clemency but Huckabee and the Post Prison Transfer Board, was later sued by a Prosecuting Attorney for not properly notifying family members and elected officials about the clemency.

Jeffers was sentenced to life without parole for the murder of William Hash back in 1980.
