POINSETT COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Poinsett County deputies found a man shot and killed Saturday near Highway 18.
According to Poinsett County Sheriff Larry Mills, a neighbor heard gunshots on Highway 18 in Pitts and called the sheriff's office at around 4:30 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they found Jeff Foster shot to death. His body was sent to the State's medical examiner.
Deputies arrested Charles Davis, 58, of Harrisburg.
Sheriff Mills said a probable cause hearing was held on Monday where Davis was charged with second degree murder and possession of a weapon by a certain person.
Davis was given a $250,000 cash only bond and is set to appear in Poinsett County Circuit Court on March 30.
It is still not known what lead to the shooting.
