JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Jonesboro Fire Department recently received much needed equipment.
New hazmat equipment was delivered to the Craighead County Emergency Management Office on Monday afternoon.
The office received a new wireless camera system that will feed back video in real time.
Battalion Chief Marty Hammerick said this new camera is going to be very useful.
"The entry team going into the hot zone will carry the camera in and I can see what's happening back at the command post so we can have real time feedback," said Hammerick. "And be able to diagnose the problem faster and safer for the guys at the command post."
The equipment was made possible through a grant from The Department of Homeland Security.
