JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Representatives with the Downtown Jonesboro Association said 2014 was a great year.
Downtown Jonesboro received its Main Street status in October of 2013, allowing for an entire year of activities in 2014.
"We had a ton of great events," Executive Director of the Downtown Jonesboro Association Hailey Knight said. "We created a a lot of signature happenings for downtown such as alive after five, pack pride weekend with Arkansas State University and Pumpkin Palooza so we had a very successful year last year."
The association believes one of the most successful events was Alive after Five.
Knight said another great service they've provided downtown businesses is consultations.
"We were able to provide 24 small business consultations in the form of interior design, exterior design and small business consulting with downtown business owners," Knight said. "Six of those were exterior consultations where they did a complete facade rendering."
Knight said she's looking forward to 2015.
Alive after Five will return on March 19.
