JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Junior Auxiliary of Jonesboro hosted its annual Charity Ball Saturday night.
It is the only fundraiser the organization holds all year. The proceeds help fund their 11 projects throughout the year.
The non-profit organization does several projects that help kids and families in Craighead County. Junior Auxiliary also gives scholarships to graduating seniors and adults looking to go back to school.
Junior Auxiliary President Shaila Creekmore is happy to be a part of those projects.
"Just being able to give back to the children, and my children get to see me going and working with other children that they know don't have the same home life that we do and don't have the same things we have and that's real rewarding," Creekmore said.
The Convocation Center was packed. They sold 650 tickets to the charity ball.
The event also included live and silent auctions.
