LEACHVILLE, AR - An employee of the Boy Scouts of America has been arrested in Leachville on suspicion of drunk driving.

Leachville Police Chief Kenneth Womack told K8 News this afternoon that William Lee, 50, of Paragould, was arrested in Leachville at 10:45 p.m. last night following a traffic stop.  Womack said the car that Lee was driving was registered to the Boy Scouts, and that he understands that Lee is employed as a district leader for the Scouts.

According to Chief Womack, his department and the Arkansas State Police are investigating the possibility that Lee may have been involved in "property damage" accident east of Leachville prior to his arrest.  Womack said the windshield and front end of the 2003 Honda Civic Lee was driving were damaged at the time of the stop.

Lee is charged with DWI-second offense, refusal to submit to a breathalyzer test, driving with defective equipment (smashed windshield), and driving left of center.
