JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police are searching for 3 people suspected of a “smash and grab” style crime at The Mall at Turtle Creek.

According to a Jonesboro police report, 3 men entered Target, 3000 E. Highland, in Jonesboro by smashing the window with a concrete block. Then, while inside the store, 1 of the 3 suspects broke the glass of three cases containing PlayStation and Xbox video game consoles. Several pairs of Beats headphones were also strewn across the electronics department.

Officers responded to the store shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday, according to the report. Officer Adam Hampton wrote in his report that as he entered the store, he noticed “several sets of Beats headphones and earphones laying in the floor next to a black trash bag.”

During a search of the building, officers were unable to find the suspects.

Surveillance video reportedly shows three suspects broke into the store and ran to the electronics department to smash 3 locked display cases before leaving the store and getting into a silver car that appeared to be either a Chevy Malibu or Impala with a sunroof.

The suspects were inside the store a total of 3 minutes, according to the report.

“All 3 suspects were wearing hoodies and appeared to be wearing gloves and had items blocking their faces,” Hampton wrote.

Target's loss prevention team is now compiling a list of stolen items and working with investigators.
