JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Arkansas State University's expansion into another country is set to be bigger than first thought.
The construction on the new campus in Queretaro, Mexico is underway.
A groundbreaking ceremony took place in February and ASU leaders hope to have classes starting in 2016.
The $75 million campus is being built on 250 acres that was privately donated to ASU Queretaro.
ASU expects to generate $8 million annually once the enrollment of the campus reaches 5,000 students.
