Fifteen Region 8 Counties to Participate in Homeless Survey

JONESBORO, AR - According to information provided to K8 News by the office of Congressman Marion Berry, fifteen Region 8 counties will participate in a survey of the homeless population next week.

The survey is being conducted in cooperation with local officials, to help determine the number and the needs of homeless persons who reside within Clay, Cleburne, Cross, Fulton, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Lawrence, Monroe, Randolph, Sharp, St. Francis, Stone, White and Woodruff counties. 

Persons found to be homeless may be assisted by the Delta Hills Continuum of Care, which is a coalition of several local and state organizations which are led by a private non-profit corporation based in Batesville.
