St. Bernards conducts free health screening to area residents

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

St. Bernards Health and Wellness put on its free monthly health screenings the morning.

Healthcare workers checked blood pressure, BMI, and conducted lab work for total cholesterol, hematocrit levels, and blood count for anemia. St. Bernards Patient Care Manager Gina Powell says the earlier you can catch a health problem the better.

“We like to find any abnormal labs that we can,” Gina Powell says. “Catch them early, get them back to the physician so the patient can be treated.”

Powell says they typically see between 40 and 50 patients.

St. Bernards service network provides health screening to eight counties.
