Jonesboro Police Investigating Weekend Stabbing Death

JONESBORO, AR - A man is dead after a weekend stabbing in Jonesboro.

The incident happened around 4 p.m Sunday. at 521 West Huntington Avenue.

Emergency personel say when they arrived at the apartment complex, they were not able to locate the victim so they called police in to help.

While officers were on the way, the medical personel found 35-year-old Levert Thomas of Jonesboro.

Thomas was suffering from stab wounds and was unresponsive.

He was pronouced dead at the scene.

Police have arrested 35-year-old Tamara Denise Gordon in connection with Thomas' death.  Police say Gordon had recently been residing at the apartment where Thomas was killed.  She is to appear before District Court Judge Keith Blackman this afternoon for a probable cause hearing.
