Monster X Tour heads to ASU Convocation Center

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Monster trucks will invade the ASU Convocation Center Friday and Saturday, March 13-14,  for the Monster X Tour.

The freestyle action-packed show features some of the most competitive motor sports professionals driving massive 10,000 pound, car-crushing giants.

"Monster truck freestyle, monster truck racing, monster truck wheelies," announcer Jason Ellins says.  "We've got the lawnmower tractors, which were a favorite here last year. Then we've got a little bit of a surprise.  It's not even on the advertisement  We have a stunt guy coming in and he's going to be doing all kinds of crazy stuff on a motorcycle."

The doors open with a pit party from 6 to 7 p.m.  People will get a chance to meet the drivers and ride in a monster truck. The Monster X Tour start at 7:30 p.m. both nights.

Ellins says it is a show for the whole family, as well as being very visual.

"For such a small building, people are going to see monster trucks up in the air," he said. "In a smaller building, instead of going for distance, we're going for height."
