Flasher reported on grocery store parking lot

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A man pleasuring himself in a grocery store parking lot was not a very pleasing sight for a Jonesboro woman.

The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. Monday, March 9, at Hays Supermarket, 1000 S. Gee.

The woman told police she was waiting for her husband to complete his shopping when she noticed a black male sitting in a gray sports utility vehicle, according to the police report.

She said the man was looking directly at her when he opened the driver's side door. That's when she saw that the man was masturbating, the report said.

The woman called police; but, by the time officers arrived, the suspect had driven away.

On Thursday an investigator attempted to get video of the incident or the suspect's car from Hays and surrounding businesses, but was unsuccessful.

A similar case was reported in November at the Mall at Turtle Creek. A woman told police she observed a black man in a gray car “pleasuring himself.” The suspect in that case was described as being in his 30s with a thin moustache and goatee.

If you have any information on either of these cases, call CrimeStoppers at (870) 935-STOP (7867).
