PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

The Greene County Sheriff's Office and Paragould Police Department are investigating a break-in at Greene County Tech Middle School.

According to police, Brandon Alsup busted through the front doors of the school and busted down a few doors to get to the principal's office. They office was then ransacked. Police believe the Alsup was looking for files and did not search for valuables.

“Unfortunately for us, it did more damage to doors and glass than probably merchandise or anything he stole. Probably looking for maybe cash a teacher had in her drawer,” said Gene Weeks, GCT Assistant Superintendent. “Fortunately we don't have this happen very often. But every once in a while it will happen and you feel like with your schools, it's just pretty tough to have your schools broken into.”

Police said another small building was broken into; however, most damage was found in the principal's office.

If you have any information on Alsup, call the Paragould Police Department at 870-236-7621.
