HOT SPRINGS, AR (KAIT) - Marmaduke is bringing home a state championship when they come back from Hot Springs after defeating England 68-56 on Saturday night at Bank of the Ozarks Arena.

Greyhound Senior Sidnee Bopp was awarded MVP for her double-double that included 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 steals. Madison Price also had a solid game for Marmaduke, putting up 14 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Marmaduke played from behind for the majority of the game, something the team had only experienced a handful of times during the tournament, but rallied back in the second half and eventually took a commanding lead in the final quarter.

This is Marmaduke's second appearance in the state finals in the past 3 seasons, the Greyhounds fell in the 2013 state title game at Barton Arena.

This was also the final game in the high school careers of a core group of seniors like Bopp, Price, Allison Hampton, Shelby Blackburn, Cally Burgess, and Shelby Blackburn.

Bopp has signed to play college basketball at Western Kentucky.
