JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Craighead County sheriff's deputies are investigating yet another church break-in.

On Wednesday, March 18, deputies were called to a burglary at Full Gospel Lighthouse Church, 8141 Highway 18, in Cash.

Deputy Brandon Womack reported a window broken out on the north side appeared to be the entry point. Inside the church he found several pews knocked over.

In addition to rummaging through cabinets, the church's pastor told the deputy a bass guitar, a music amplifier and 5 brass drum cymbals had been stolen. He placed the total value of the items stolen at $1,100.

The suspect also stole about $50 in cash and change from a donation bucket.

During his investigation, Womack reported finding blood smeared on a curtain and directly under the window, as if the suspect may have been cut by a piece of glass while breaking into the building.

This was just the latest in a recent rash of church break-ins in Craighead County and the city of Jonesboro.

If you have any information on this latest church burglary, call the Craighead County Sheriff's Office at (870) 933-4551.
