Spring Break events for those having a stay-cation

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Spring Break is right around the corner and whether your kids have the full week off or just a few days you may wonder what there is to do.

If you are planning a “stay-cation,” there are opportunities to get out of the house all over Region 8.

The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library has a full week of activities planned for the whole family.

For the kids, the week includes nail art, Legos, crafts, bingo and a Friday movie. Teens can also visit the library to take part in crafts and a bubble day.

They haven't forgotten the adults. Adult bingo is Wednesday morning. Knitting and yoga are also on the agenda.

All the events are free and Morgan Sallee, assistant youth services director, said everyone is welcome.

“We call it a stay-cation because we know not everybody gets to go out of town for Spring Break, and the kids get bored of being in the house and so there are lots of exciting things to do here in Jonesboro and Region 8,” Sallee said.

Arkansas State Parks all over the state are sponsoring special Spring Break programs, as well. For a list of events visit arkansasstateparks.com
