JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Two Jonesboro residents are charged with arson after they set their relative's car on fire.

On Sunday, officers said they were called out to the 2000-block of Willow Road in reference to a vandalized vehicle.

The white Dodge Caliber was parked underneath a carport and looked like it had been set on fire.

In an incident report, the entire driver's side of the car was "charred black and both front and rear driver's side tires were burnt and flat."

The officer then talked to the owner of the car and she said she didn't know it was burnt until that morning.

After police questioned her, the victim said she believed it was her aunt that could have started the fire.

She said they argued with each other for a couple of months. However, she said the argument the night before the arson, was more heated.

Police took pictures of the scene and turned the case over to Fire Marshall Jason Wills.

After an investigation, Judge Keith Blackman found probable cause to charge Crystal Grass, 30, and Aaron Weaver, 21 with arson on Wednesday.

Judge Blackman also set their bond at $3,000 and issued Grass and Weaver no contact orders towards the victims.

Both suspects will be in court April 27 at 8:30 a.m.
