RANDOLPH COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - The new Randolph County Nursing Home facility is almost complete.
The new location will contain additional beds, 4 courtyards, a larger physical therapy area, 2 dining rooms and a chapel.
"More access to a garden area that the residents have never had before," said Tim Scott, Executive director of the Randolph County Chamber of Commerce. "Other amenities that they have never dreamed of at the current facility will be at this new location, and it will be unbelievable."
Randolph County Nursing Home Director Paula Swift said she and fellow employees are excited to offer this new facility to their residents.
"We want to make sure our residents have the best quality care and a quality place to stay and we've just out grown that one and they need something new and improved," Swift said.
The current nursing home they will be moving out of was built in 1946 and holds 118 people.
Swift said the new facility is set to be finished early summer and will hold 140 people.
