Foodie vandalism not going over easy with residents

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Some people like to put ketchup on their eggs. But, the two do not go together when put on houses and cars.

But that culinary combination is exactly what some people living in the 4700-block of Big Johns Place in Jonesboro awoke to on Wednesday morning.

According to the Officer Gary McClard, who scrambled to the scene, vandals threw eggs on one home and pelted at least 2 cars with dozens of ketchup packets.

Based on interviews with the victims, it is believed the damage was done sometime between the hours of 2 and 8 a.m.

McClard drove through the neighborhood looking for other victims and found ketchup all over a mailbox located in the 1400-block of Golf Course Drive.

In addition to the mailbox, the vandals had smeared mayonnaise on the front door, the knob and the doorbell. They had also written a vulgarity in ketchup on the front porch, McClard reported.

At this time there are no suspects in this hard-boiled crime.
