Thief uses Bobcat to steal from railroad company

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A thief in Jonesboro broke out the heavy machinery to commit a crime.

According to a Jonesboro police report, someone stole an aluminum pan from the Union Pacific Rail yard, on Madison Street in downtown Jonesboro.

An employee told officers he saw someone move the pan with a bobcat.

He said, at the time, he didn't think anything of it because a cleaning company normally does that.

This time it wasn't the cleaning company.

An officer and Union Pacific employee searched the property and did not find the aluminum pan.

According to the report, the officer also checked a scrap yard, but did not find the pan.

Police are still investigating the theft.

If an arrested is made, the suspect could be charged with theft of $5,000 or less but greater than $1,000
