JONESBORO -- Security is a top priority for the employees and shoppers at Indian Mall in Jonesboro.

Christy Veara is the marketing director at Indian Mall.

"We just want you to know if you see something suspicious report it to security.  That is what they are here for. We just want you to feel safe, and not just for security, but for customer service issues to,"said Veara.

For example, if you are walking to your car and notice something suspicious, police say don't hesitate going back inside reporting your suspicions, and requesting a police escort to your car.

Don't be embarrassed to ask for help, and if it does look suspicious, let that sixth sense kick in, and take action on that."said Police Sargeant, Steve McDaniel.

"They'll escort you to your car on foot, or in the security vehicle,"said Veara.

That security luxury is for anyone at the mall, whether it be a shopper or employee.

It's also important to be aware of the area where your vehicle is parked.

If it's available, park in a well lit area.

The life you save, could be your own.
