Hot rods raise money for those who have trouble seeing

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Hot rods of all shapes and sizes will be at the Northeast Arkansas District Fairgrounds this weekend

The 26th annual Lions Club Auto Show has over 100 vehicles spruced up and on display for the public.

Lions Club member Brad Baker said not only is this a sight to see, but funds raised from the event are also used to help the community.

“Every penny of the money that's raised in this show and all the other fundraisers that we have, we don't use any of it for administration,” Baker said. “We put every penny back into the community helping those in need.”

The University Heights Lions Club spends around $10,000 a year on eyeglasses for those in need and refer individuals for surgery if eyeglasses won't help.
