PARAGOULD, AR - A man convicted of calling in an anthrax threat to a Paragould school lost a federal appeal today.

A three-judge panel of the Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the clock did not start running on Christopher Martin Cole's one-year federal sentence until after his state sentence on related charges was completed.  Cole wanted the two one-year sentences to run together.

Cole made the anthrax threat days after the September 11, 2001, terror attacks, and made a number of other false threats.
