Chamber of Commerce Business Expo kicked off Wednesday

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Businesses and the public filled Arkansas State University's Convocation Center for the annual Chamber of Commerce Business Expo Wednesday.

Over 250 businesses jumped into the 1980s theme to put their business on display for the public.

Cari White with the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce said the expo is a great opportunity for exposure.

“We've got a full house this year with all the businesses in Jonesboro who'll be showing off their wares and their new products all the way from industries to small businesses,” White said.

Jenny Keller with the United Way said the expo is a wonderful networking opportunity for business owners.

“Definitely networking and meeting new people and then relationships with people we already have and just seeing everybody,” Keller said. “It's so good to see all businesses come together for Jonesboro and I feel like that's what this business expo does.”

A preview showcase took place Tuesday night for the exhibitors.

The expo was open on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. for businesses only and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for the public.
