BROOKLAND, AR (KAIT) - A large amount of meth was taken off the streets of Brookland after a traffic stop.
Around noon on Tuesday Brookland Police Chief Mark Rusher stopped Carlos Burdyshaw, 39, of Bono on U.S. Highway 49B in the city.
Police say a small amount of meth was found on Burdyshaw, but a search of his car yielded over 13 and half ounces of the drug.
Adderall and tramadol were also found along with drug paraphernalia and over $1,500 in cash, police said.
Burdyshaw was taken to a local hospital after he complained of chest pains. He is currently in the Craighead County Jail on charges of trafficking a controlled substance and parole violation.
Burdyshaw was paroled in March 2013, according to the Arkansas Department of Correction.
The arrest was a joint effort between the Brookland police and Second Judicial Drug Task Force.
