Vandalized vehicles, burglarized church reported in Clay Co.

CLAY COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Three cases involving burglary and vandalism in Clay County are believed to be connected.

Clay County Sheriff Terry Miller said that on Sunday morning dispatch received a call about a break-in and vandalism on Clay County Road 528.

When deputies arrived they found "several vehicles" had been broken into and vandalized with spray paint.

Miller also stated late afternoon of the same day his office received a complaint that a church in the same area had been burglarized. 

On Monday Miller said Arkansas State Police had seen a road sign had been vandalized in the Holly Island area.

Miller said all 3 incidents are believed to be related.

Anyone with information about the incidents are asked to call the Clay County Sheriff's Department at (870) 598-2270.
