The Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation looks to inform men

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Representatives from the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation out of Little Rock want people to know they serve all Arkansas communities.

The Foundation had a booth set up at the 2015 Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.

Patrick Presley with the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation said their goal is to offer free screenings and education for men and their families across the state.

“One of the biggest questions is when should I be screened if I'm going to be screened? We agree the national mandate is 40 and over begin to have a baseline score, and basically all you have to do is have your PSA done,” Presley said. “PSA is a fancy word for blood test.”

Presley said this baseline will give you and your doctor something to follow year by year if there is a rise.

Their signature event, Rockin' Blue Ribbon Bash, will come up in Aug.
