High-speed pursuit ends in Kennett, Paragould man arrested

KENNETT, MO (KAIT) -

A high-speed pursuit which began in northeast Arkansas ended in southeast Missouri early Thursday morning.

According to information from Greene County Sheriff's Department, the pursuit began around 5:45 a.m.

Officers with the sheriff's department traveled into Missouri pursuing the suspect. Dunklin County authorities joined in the chase.

Kennett police stated on Facebook officers were advised of the chase involving a green Ford Ranger on U.S. 412 toward Kennett.

Just before 6 a.m. police saw the truck coming into Kennett at a high rate of speed.

Police pursued the suspect around the east side of the city before stopping on First Street.

Dwight L. Roberts, 40, of Paragould, AR was arrested and taken to the Dunklin County Jail.
