JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Jonesboro Rotary Metro Club teamed up with the American Red Cross Thursday to serve up lunch and bring in money.
The rotary club fired its grills behind the Red Cross office off of Madison Street in Jonesboro at 2 a.m.
They spent the day cooking steaks and boston butts.
It's a feel good thing to give back to your community," Jonesboro Metro Rotary Club member Richard Wimberley said. "Help the Red Cross raise some money for their disaster relief program. We sell some as well and it helps us raise money to do some of the programs that we do such as our Veteran Gift Basket that we do every Christmas."
They sold 48 Boston Butts and 120 steaks for the Red Cross, raising more than $2,000 Thursday.
