Bush Plans Arkansas Visit Next Month

JANUARY 28, 2005 - Posted at 3:50 p.m. CST

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The White House announced today that President Bush plans to visit Little Rock next Friday to discuss his plan for Social Security reform.

The White House says Bush will stop in Arkansas on his way from Omaha, Nebraska, to Tampa, Florida, before returning to Little Rock.

Bush was last in Arkansas on November 18 for the opening of the Clinton Presidential Library.

The Arkansas visit will be part of a two-day blitz that will follow Wednesday's State of the Union address to promote the president's proposal to add private investment accounts to Social Security.
