Three Rivers hosting job fair

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KAIT) -

Looking for a job? Then update your resume, polish your shoes and head to Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff.

More than 50 employers will accept applications from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, April 9, in the Bess Activity Center.

The Spring College Transfer and Job Fair is free and open to the public.

Job seekers will be able to fill out applications, talk to employers about available jobs and drop off resumes.

The event is sponsored by the college and the Parents Working Committee of the Community Resource Council.

“The Parents Working Committee holds a job fair each August and we had employers suggest we also hold one in the spring,” said Teresa Johnson, chairperson of the committee and director of communications at the college. “Three Rivers for years has organized a spring college transfer and job fair for its students about to graduate. Employers there asked about opening that job fair to the public to increase applicants. So, it was a natural fit for us to join forces.”
