JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Two repeat offenders were arrested Wednesday after shoplifting at two different Walmart stores in Jonesboro.

Jonesboro Police Officers responded to a shoplifting incident Wednesday at the Walmart located on West Parker Road.

While talking with a loss prevention employee, officers were told the two suspects were also suspects in a shoplifting incident from the day before.

The employee told officers Dalton Ellison, 21, of Walnut Ridge and Ashley Tribble, 23, of Jonesboro were both caught on security camera stealing over $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Walmart on East Highland Drive.

At first, both suspects denied being involved in the Highland Drive incident, but after being separated Tribble admitted she stood watch while Ellison stole a television.

According to the police report, Tribble said that several items including a car stereo were in her house and said she would give consent for police to retrieve the items from there.

After arriving at the house and being told that she could not go in by herself to get the items, Tribble withdrew her consent to search the residence.

Ellison told police he had sold the stolen television the night before for $300.

Both Ellison and Tribble were taken to the Craighead County Detention Center and charged with theft of more than $1,000.
