Jonesboro man sentenced 10 years for breaking into A-State building

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Jonesboro man was sentenced to a maximum 10 years in prison after he admitted to breaking into Arkansas State University and stealing items from the communications building.

According to a sentencing order filed in Craighead County Circuit Court, Kevin Sullivan, 42, pleaded guilty to commercial burglary and theft of property. Police records indicate Sullivan broke into the College of Media and Communications on December 19, 2014 while the school was on Christmas break.

Sullivan was arrested and told officers his picture aired on Crimestoppers on Region 8 News at 10. A police report stated he confessed to breaking into a building on campus.

Surveillance video from A-State showed a man using the ceiling to get into offices to steal several items.
