A-State Baseball’s Mid-week contest with UCA cancelled

JONESBORO, AR (ASU) – Tuesday night's baseball game between Arkansas State and Central Arkansas, originally scheduled for April 14 at 6:30 p.m., has been cancelled due to the rain that moved through the area Monday.

Heavy rain moved through the Jonesboro area Monday and continued throughout the day to make the field conditions at Tomlinson Stadium unplayable.  The Red Wolves next scheduled action is set for this weekend when the team travels to ULM for a Sun Belt Conference series against the Warhawks.  The series opener in Monroe is set for Friday at 6 p.m.

This cancellation marks the 21st time A-State has had a game altered in some form or fashion due to the weather this season.  The Red Wolves currently sport a 14-20 overall record and have a 4-13 mark in SBC play.

The Bears and Red Wolves are set to play later in the season on May 5 in Conway, Ark.  For the latest on A-State baseball follow the team by logging onto the team's Facebook page at
