Two Mississippi County men plead guilty to sexual assault

MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Two Mississippi County men will each spend 36 months in prison after pleading guilty to separate sexual assault charges, according to court documents.

Isaiah Robinson, 64, plead guilty in Mississippi County Circuit Court on Monday, April 13.

According to court documents, Robinson was charged with 2nd degree sexual assault for the rape of a 10-year-old girl, which happened on Oct. 22, 2013.

He will serve his jail time in the Arkansas Department of Correction.

In a separate case, another man pleaded guilty to sex charges in Mississippi County Monday.

Michael A. Smith, 70, pleaded guilty to 2 counts of 2nd degree sexual assault and will also spend 36 months at the Arkansas Department of Correction.

Smith is charged for the rape of a 10-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl.

Those incidents happened in May of 2008.
