Marmaduke police arrest 2 in string of vehicle break-ins

MARMADUKE, AR (KAIT) -

Police have made 2 arrests in Marmaduke following reports of several vehicle break-ins.

Chief Steve Franks of the Marmaduke Police Department said reports of the break-ins began April 22. They occurred during the night and in the early morning hours.

Franks said items taken included electronics, money and wallets.

Two days later the police department arrested John Rubbo and Kendall Peden in connection to the incidents.

The pair was charged with 22 felony counts of breaking or entering, one count of felony theft of property and 10 counts of misdemeanor theft of property.

Bond for Rubbo and Peden was set at $25,000 each. 

A court date was set for them on May 29 in Greene County Circuit Court.

    According to Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble, a person was being held Sunday in the Randolph County jail after being taken into custody by Arkansas State Police in connection with the deaths of two people.
