CVS Pharmacy to come Highway 49/412 intersection

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

Big changes are coming to the busiest intersection in Paragould.

On Monday property located at Highways 49 and 412 was sold.

Weldon and Pat Chesser owned the property for 50 years. The Chessers told Region 8 News they sold the land to CVS Pharmacy.

The two acre piece of land includes four lots, that once held a gas station, liquor store and two office buildings.

Monday afternoon crews were already at work, tearing out the gas pumps at the site.

Weldon Chesser told Region 8 News that the sale of the property was a bittersweet moment. After interacting with people at different businesses on the property for decades, Chesser said it was difficult to know it was the end of an era.
