Huckabee announces presidential run

HOPE, AR (KAIT) -

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee announced he will run for President of the United States next year.

He declared that in front of supporters in Hope, AR Tuesday.

The former governor becomes the 6th candidate, so far, to announce plans to run for the presidency in the GOP camp for 2016.

This is the second run Huckabee has made at the White House since 2008.

Huckabee won the Iowa caucuses that year, but lost the Republican Party nomination for president to Sen. John McCain.
